Est. 1624 · Unken, Salzburger Land Vol. 01 — Summer in the valley

Home away
from home.

A four-hundred-year-old guesthouse in the Austrian Alps, redone for families who travel with care.
01 — Arrival
On the idea

A hotel where
parents nap too,
and the watermelon
is always cold.

Sixty hectares of meadow, forest, swim-lake and stable. A kitchen that puts children first without making the adults sad. A rooftop spa reserved for grown-ups, a treehouse reserved for everyone else.

We've been hosts since sixteen-twenty-four — twelve generations of the Post family. We learned early that a good holiday for a family is not a compromise; it is a place built for both ends of the age scale at once.

02 — A day at POST

From the first horse
to the last swim.

No schedules, no required activities. A loose rhythm, and a kitchen that keeps pace.
07:42 — The far pasture.
09:10 — Hydrangeas, barefoot.
11:54 — After the swim.
13:22 — The floating net.
14:48 — Bellies down, sun out.
17:05 — Lake, quiet, the two of you.
18:40 — Pizza, no shirts required.
19:12 — Still warm.
20:30 — The last swim.

Sixty rooms.
No more.

Big enough for a real kitchen; small enough that the chef still knows your child's name.

04 — Spa & quiet

A quiet floor,
above the noise.

Rooftop spa for adults: Finnish sauna, a 36° outdoor tub, infrared cabins, and a view across the Heutal valley. Kids welcome — just not on this floor.

05 — Kids & teens

Eleven hours
of their own time.

Kids' club from 8am to 7pm. Seven dedicated educators. A ranch with six Haflingers, a padel court, a treehouse, and a real kitchen where they cook their own pizza.
